It’s been a great January!
Happy 2023 ZEN faves!
Did you know that January was named for the Roman god Janus, who is known as the protector of gates and doorways and who also symbolizes beginnings and endings? Janus is depicted with two faces, one looking into the past, the other with the ability to see into the future. At ZEN, we are reflecting back on all of the amazing happenings of 2022, but we are also focused on the future months that will undoubtedly be bright! Here’s what we’ve been up to in the first month of 2023 and a sneak peak into an upcoming event in February.
🎉 ZEN classes are back! On January 21st, ZEN hosted a “Voluminous Blowouts Class” at 6pm. Our first class of the New Year taught our ZEN faves how to achieve those crush-worthy blowouts that are always flooding all of our social media platforms. Guests enjoyed snacks and light refreshments while ZEN stylists demonstrated how to create a runway model blowout. We all had a blast and we hope that you will join us for our next class - we’ll keep you posted on date and time.
🎉 Team ZEN had their holiday party and celebrated karaoke style at the Wharf in DC on January 22nd. We sang, we danced, we had a blast! Should have taken more pix but we were having too much fun!

🎉 Salon deZEN installed a new hardware and software system called Vish. This innovative software system helps ZEN stylists measure out hair color usage precisely in order to track color usage so that we can continue to be a Waste Warrior. By reducing the amount of color waste, we are also able to control pricing so that YOU are benefiting from this new system as well!
