As we all know, March is often known for St. Patrick’s Day and the “luck o’ the Irish.” ☘️ We love celebrating all things Irish and ALL ethnicities but what we love most about March is that it is also Women’s History Month as well as International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8th!!! What a month to CELEBRATE! As this month is definitely a time for merriment, here is a peek into what ZEN is proud to be celebrating alongside quotes from powerful women that can’t help motivate and empower all of us:
🍀ZEN hosted “Mocktails and Braids” with Umbrella Dry Drinks on Saturday March 11th. This class boosted guests' dry beverage game and braiding knowledge. This hands-on class taught individuals how to create booze-free bevs while also upping their branding techniques. Be sure to keep an eye out on your inbox as we send emails announcing upcoming events!
🍀 ZEN’s owner and stylist extraordinaire, Maria Elizabeth, will be speaking at the National Psoriasis Foundation Conference on April 22nd from 8am-3pm at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town. Maria will discuss how to manage and reduce scalp psoriasis. Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that many salons have demonstrated discrimination towards individuals who are suffering from this condition. Salon de ZEN’s goal is to make every client feel safe, valued, and appreciated while also celebrating their individualism. Maria is determined to shed the stigma around scalp psoriasis and help those who are suffering from this condition.
