Pride Month Was Epic!
School is out for SUMMER! With a new, exciting season upon us, we believe that it’s time to embrace the sunshine and let it shine brightly through you! Summer is also a great time to switch up your hair. Maybe go blonder or try a Curl Cult Perm so you can effortlessly rock those beachy waves all season long (it’s not your Mama’s perm, we promise!). Feeling bold, try out a new shade with our spectacular gloss color lineup by Kevin Murphy. The hues are magnificent!!! Whatever your summer hair dreams are, Team ZEN will use their magic to make them a beautiful reality! Now, it’s time to share what ZEN has been up to in June….
🌈 On June 3rd, ZEN was an exhibitor at the 6th Annual Alexandria Pride event at Alexandria City Hall - Market Square. ZEN stylists offered braid services with an option of a glitter add on in all the colors of the rainbow. It was a celebration of love and an opportunity to learn about LGBTQ+ inclusive stores in Alexandria. It was an amazing event, and ZEN was proud to be a part of such an accepting community.
🌈 On June 5th, Team ZEN attended a razor class where we learned cutting-edge techniques. Not only did we learn how to achieve those effortless, textured looks, but we also gained additional knowledge on different hair types, face shapes, and how to tailor each cut to best suit our clients’ unique features. We are all so excited to share the art of razor cutting with you. Whether you want an asymmetrical bob or soft, flowy layers, or somewhere in between, the options are truly limitless with the precision and finesse of a razor cut.
🌈 On June 11th, team ZEN surprised owner Maria Elizabeth with a graduation party at Landini Brothers. We just couldn’t let her graduation from the Goldman Sachs Small Business Program pass without a proper celebration. We even had the graduate wear a pink cap and gown and in true ZEN style, the top of the cap was adorned with beautiful butterflies. We are so proud of our fearless leader and her commitment to bettering herself, ZEN, and our community through continued education. Way to go, Maria! We love you so much!!!
